Jazz at the Piazza: The After Hours Trio
The After Hours Trio plus One is a group of musicians playing jazz standards and original music in a fresh new setting. The leader of the
group is vocalist, Najwa Parkins. She chooses the musical selections
of the group as well as contributing her own compositions. Her artistic vision is complimented by Dan Hanrahan on guitar, Justin Sekelewski on bass and recent addition Luke Brandon on trumpet. These musicians met
in the Temple University Jazz Studies program. Now graduates of this
program, they are striving to make meaningful music, both in this drumless setting and outside of it.
