Welcome to Lyla Designs, LLC. This is Lyla...but don’t worry – she didn’t design your bag. That is where I come in. My name is Carli and I am the person behind the designing, cutting, assembling and sewing the bags and other unique, custom handmade accessories.
While working in the education industry for the last decade teaching and consulting, I have always had a passion for being creative. With a grandmother who was always sewing or darning a sock to a mother who made her own fashion statement in high school by sewing her own wardrobe; sewing has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Starting my own business sewing handmade accessories to share with other women seemed like the perfect fit for me. Thanks to the creative gene from my grandmother and mother – Lyla Designs has now become a reality. (My mom is still there to help me cut and press when needed!)
Entering into the world of home parties is an exciting adventure as well! Women and friends gather and shop from ready made “cash and carry” items that I have created OR they will be able to select fabric from an eclectic assortment to create their own unique custom bag or accessory. It is an amazing feeling to help someone look at a piece of fabric and visualize it in a bag – then I get to make it and deliver it to them!
Thanks to my family, friends and husband for giving me all the love and support in the world to make this dream a reality. I believe in passion, hard work and learning something new every day. Dream big and work hard and the possibilities can be endless.
